SLTC - Aide à la mobilité EN

Mobility support

As part of its policy to support doctoral training, the SLTC Doctoral School has introduced a mobility grant scheme designed to support doctoral students’ research mobility.

The ED SLTC’s mobility grants cover travel and scientific events falling into one of the following three categories. These grants may be prioritised in accordance with the laboratory’s policy.

The following are eligible:

  • Participation in a symposium, study day, conference or young researchers’ day, in order to present a paper or poster
  • Travel related to field research or visits to venues such as museums, archives or research institutions, for archive consultations, interviews, etc.
  • Organisation of collective scientific events: preparation of conferences, study days, emerging research days and other scientific initiatives organised collectively by PhD students

Mobility grants may cover the following costs: travel expenses (return train, return flight, return carpool, etc.), registration fees, accommodation costs, meal expenses, and miscellaneous costs (visas, etc.).

ORION mobility grants cover travel and scientific events with an international dimension; the following are therefore eligible:

Any scientific event bringing together researchers, PhD students and experts from several countries to present research advances and strengthen academic networks. This includes, in particular, conferences, symposia, international thematic schools and workshops, organised in France or abroad.
The grant is awarded on condition that a poster or oral presentation is given.
It is capped at a maximum of €1,000 per PhD student and may only be awarded once during the course of the PhD.
Please note: whilst the laboratory is not required to co-fund the grant, it is responsible for making up the shortfall if the total cost of the mobility exceeds the allocated ceiling.

The mobility grant may cover the following costs: travel expenses (return train, return flight, return carpool, etc.), registration fees, accommodation costs, and meal expenses.
